Alani & Jana Mokume Gane Bands

This Mokume Gane ring was made in Fall 2011 near the Kumano mountains in Japan. Is a mokume gane wedding band set made with palladium white gold , yellow gold and red gold. The pattern of the mokume is slightly asymetric and the mokume gane bands combine the wooden pattern with the straigh palladium lateral side. The design try to show both sides of ourselves, one straight and another more creative, because anyone has a creative part inside. The colors were specially choosed for the season of the year we made them (fall 2011). In Japan the seasons of the year always have a high visual contrast in the nature. We show the red and yellow gold symbolizing the colors of the Japanese Maple tree or most comoun know as “Momiji Tree”.  Alani is a type of “tree” in Hawaiian and Jana means “harvest of a fruit” in Arabic, with those two names combined meaning, we try to show the natural evolution of the nature and the gifts we receive from. We want to show also the “impermanence” of everything. We need to absorb life as it comes and enjoy all the stages we are immersed during our own process. We produce mokume gane jewelry but the most important is not what we do, the most important is why and what moves us to do it!!!!!  Always there is a reason for everything and looking through the nature we can learn about ourselves and looking ourselves we can understand more the nature, because at the end we are part of the nature as the 85% of water in our brain and the 70% in our body. So, why not listen more our body and obserb more the nature?  We wish to add below an small poem in English from the vietnamese zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh, toguether with those mokume gane bands.

You are like a candle. Imagine you are sending light out all around you.

All your words, thoughts and actions are going in many directions.

If you say something kind, your kind words go in many directions, and you yourself go with them.

We are …transforming and continuing in a different form at every moment.

Adamina & Canace Mokume Gane Diamond Wedding Ring Set by LABRO

This Mokume Gane ring was made in 2011. Is a mokume gane wedding ring set made with palladium white gold , sterling silver and a diamond. The pattern of the mokume has pretty much the “wood eye grain” , combined with this regular weavy shape that makes this ring very special. Adamina means “earth” in Hebrew and Canace means “child of the wind” in Latin, with those two names combined meaning, we try to show the aspect of the cold and rough winter in the steppe. That’s why the color of the metals are ‘icy”. We wish to add an small poem in English and also in Spanish, toguether with those mokume gane rings.

Good-bye, my love,
Do not tremble before the hunger of the wolves
Nor the cold steppes of absence;
You are always by my side
And together we will go on until our road vanishes…

Adiós, mi única,
No tiembles ante el hambre de los lobos
Ni en el frío estepario de la ausencia;
Del lado del corazón te llevo
Y juntos seguiremos hasta que la ruta se esfume…
